The Managing Director of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, has called for closer collaboration between the Agency and MDAs in standardising and deploying their official websites.

Agbata made the call during the Agency’s stand-up meeting on September 15, where progress on the ongoing MDA website standardisation and deployment initiative was reviewed.

He stressed the need for MDAs to work closely with the ICT Agency to ensure that every MDA has a functional and reliable digital platform that clearly reflects its mandate, services and activities, in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision of “Everything Technology, Technology Everywhere.”

According to him, the ICT Agency has continued to provide the technical framework required for standardised MDA websites, while working with the various institutions to populate the platforms with relevant, accurate and up-to-date information.

He encouraged MDAs to provide the necessary institutional content and remain actively engaged with the ICT Agency throughout the process. He explained that such collaboration would make it easier for both teams to address requirements, resolve challenges and complete the deployment of the websites efficiently.

Agbata also noted that government websites should offer more than just an online presence. He said they should provide Ndi Anambra with clear, reliable and easily accessible information on government services, programmes and activities.

The website standardisation initiative is part of the state’s broader efforts to strengthen its digital government ecosystem and establish a more consistent, accessible and user-friendly online presence across government institutions.

Reaffirming the Agency’s commitment to supporting MDAs throughout the process, Agbata said stronger collaboration would help create digital platforms that effectively serve both government institutions and the people.

He added that the ongoing initiative reflects Anambra State’s commitment to deepening digital transformation and making government information and services increasingly accessible to Ndi Anambra.
