Tansi International College, Awka, has welcomed students back for the new academic session, with the institution urging them to embrace discipline, hard work and academic excellence.
The new session officially commenced on Sept. 14, with students returning to the College amid renewed enthusiasm and determination to pursue their academic and personal development.
Addressing the students during the first-day assembly, the Principal and Manager of the College, Rev. Fr. Hilary Okwunalu, emphasised the importance of discipline as a foundation for achieving excellence.
Okwunalu encouraged the students to uphold good conduct, respect constituted authority, embrace the values of the college and remain committed to developing into responsible young men.
Also speaking, the Vice Principal, Academics, Rev. Fr. Patrick Nweke, challenged the students to set clear and meaningful academic goals for the new session.
Nweke urged them to take their studies seriously, cultivate effective reading habits, manage their time wisely and pursue academic excellence through determination, consistency and hard work.
He reminded the students of the mantra, “Discipline builds character, while academic commitment shapes the future,” urging them to recognise their potential and strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.
The vice principal expressed optimism that the new academic session would provide opportunities for learning, personal growth, character formation and outstanding achievements, while encouraging the students to remain focused and committed to their goals.
