‎Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has charged newly deployed corps members in Anambra State to uphold the ideals of patriotism, discipline, and national unity as they commence their national service.
‎
‎The charge was delivered by the Governor’s representative, Mr. Ifeatu Emodi, during the swearing-in of the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu. He assured the corps members of the State Government’s unwavering commitment to their welfare and security.

‎A total of 2,300 Prospective Corps Members, 1,080 males and 1,220 females were formally inducted into national service following the administration of the Oath of Allegiance by the representative of the Anambra State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice O. M. Anyachebelu, in the person of Hon. Justice A. O. Nwabunike.

‎In her address, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua, stated that the orientation programme is designed to instill discipline, teamwork, and self-reliance through regimented drills, physical training, sporting activities, and the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.
‎
‎The representative of the Chairman, NYSC State Governing Board, Mr. Martin Ezeilo, reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to providing requisite policy support and an enabling environment for effective service delivery.
‎
‎Dignitaries present included the Traditional Ruler of Umuawulu, His Royal Highness, Igwe Joel Maduadichie Egwuonwu, and heads of various security and paramilitary agencies.
‎
‎Highlights of the ceremony included the administration of the Oath of Allegiance, a tug-of-war competition among corps members, and a quarter guard of honour mounted in reception of the Governor’s representative. The three-week orientation exercise will be succeeded by the posting of corps members to their places of primary assignment across the State.
