‎The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the successful conduct of the party’s revalidation and verification exercise, describing it as crucial for accountability and institutional integrity in Nigeria’s democracy.

‎Speaking during the exercise, Ezeokenwa said the revalidation underscores the need for strict compliance with constitutional provisions governing political parties. He noted that APGA has become a platform for progressive political development where democratic values are upheld and transmitted to future generations.

‎The APGA Chairman reaffirmed the party’s commitment to raising standards in political administration through due process and best practices, while praising INEC’s professionalism and resilience in fulfilling its constitutional mandate.

‎Earlier, INEC’s delegation leader, Deputy Director of Election and Party Monitoring, Mr. Reginald Omoregie, said the visit was in line with Section 225 of the Constitution. He explained that the exercise verifies parties’ operational status, including offices, administrative structures, and financial records, to ensure compliance, transparency, and accountability.

‎Mr.Ezeokenwa reiterated APGA’s dedication to internal democracy, transparency, and constructive engagement with regulatory institutions, assuring continued support for initiatives that strengthen Nigeria’s democratic institutions and public confidence in the electoral process.
