Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has appointed Dr. Anselm C. Onuorah as Special Adviser on Solution Diary and Documentation Unit (SDDU) and Chief Diarist to the Governor.
The appointment, made on June 18, at the Light House, Awka, is part of efforts by the Soludo administration to strengthen government documentation, preserve institutional memory, and ensure proper archiving of its activities and milestones.
As head of the Solution Diary and Documentation Unit, Dr. Onuorah will oversee the documentation of the Governor’s official engagements, preservation of government decisions, and maintenance of a comprehensive record of the administration’s programmes, policies, and achievements.
The state government described the SDDU as the “memory bank” of the Soludo administration, designed to ensure that key decisions, meetings, and leadership milestones are properly recorded and preserved for future reference in line with the Solution Agenda.
Dr. Onuorah, who is the author of Audacity to Transform and immediate past Mayor of Anambra State, brings to the role a wealth of academic, leadership, and administrative experience.
Reacting to the appointment, Dr. Onuorah expressed appreciation to God and Governor Soludo for the opportunity to serve, pledging to carry out his duties with diligence, professionalism, and utmost commitment.
“I am grateful to God and the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for this appointment to serve as his Special Adviser on the SDDU. I pledge to discharge this responsibility diligently and with utmost care,” he said.
He further assured that he would give his best in ensuring the effective execution of the responsibilities attached to the office.
