Markets remain the economic heartbeat of Anambra State, driving commerce, creating jobs, and sustaining livelihoods. Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, is transforming these commercial hubs into modern centres of prosperity.
Guided by his vision of making Anambra Africa’s destination for investment, Governor Soludo continues to modernize markets, strengthen administration, improve security, enhance sanitation, and create an enabling environment for businesses to flourish.
The recent commissioning of the ultra-modern Nise Market underscores this commitment. The project provides traders with quality facilities, expands commercial opportunities, stimulates local economies, and demonstrates government’s dedication to inclusive development.
Earlier, the administration delivered the Solution Market and Solution Park, Ekwulọbịa, providing modern shops, organized parking, reliable infrastructure, and a conducive trading environment for businesses displaced by the Ekwulọbịa flyover construction.
In Onitsha, the government has sustained efforts to modernize market infrastructure while restoring confidence through improved security, environmental sanitation, and uninterrupted commercial activities, strengthening the city’s status as West Africa’s trading hub.
Governor Soludo’s reforms also include comprehensive trader profiling, improved market governance, and stronger security measures, ensuring safer markets, transparent administration, efficient service delivery, and enhanced investor confidence across Anambra.
The ongoing Coordinated Wholesale Centre for Pharmaceutical and Allied Products at Oba further demonstrates the administration’s commitment to regulated commerce, quality healthcare, job creation, and expanding legitimate business opportunities statewide.
These market initiatives complement the administration’s broader economic agenda by attracting investments, boosting internally generated revenue, supporting entrepreneurship, creating employment, and positioning Anambra as Nigeria’s leading destination for commerce.
Governor Soludo’s market revolution extends beyond infrastructure. It represents a strategic investment in people, enterprise, and sustainable economic growth, ensuring Anambra’s markets remain enduring symbols of innovation, prosperity, and shared development.
