Prof. Kenneth Dike Memorial Secondary School Awka lived up to the towering personality of the academic giant the institution was named after, Prof. Kenneth Dike of the blessed memory.
The school emerged the overall state champion in this year’s children’s day celebration held at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square Awka.
At the level of state public schools, it also came first beating their closest rivals Igwebuike Grammar School Awka and Girls Secondary School to the second and third positions respectively.
Thanks to the guidance and leadership prowess of its new Principal Dr. Christiana Chinedu, who is determined to make the school the best both in academics and in extracurricular activities.
Dr. Chinedu welcomed the victory with open arms and attributed it to the grace of God, and the resilience of the management, staff and students of the institution.
The principal called for sustained dedication by staff and students of the school to actualize their set vision and mission agenda.
Dr. Chinedu commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his reforms in the education sector and prayed for Divine guidance as he pilots the affairs of the state.
