‎The Regent of Umunze Community and Oru of Orumba, His Majesty, Chief Arinze Onuzuruike (Aridon), has reaffirmed his support for candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ahead of the January 2027 general elections.
‎
‎Chief Onuzuruike made the declaration during a grand APGA Candidates’ Banquet hosted at the Oru of Orumba Villa, Umunze, on Sept. 14, which brought together APGA candidates, party leaders, stakeholders, elected officials and political appointees.
‎
‎The gathering provided an opportunity for party stakeholders to interact, deliberate on strategic issues and renew their commitment to strengthening APGA ahead of the 2027 elections.
‎

‎In his remarks, Chief Onuzuruike stressed the importance of unity, cooperation and collective support among APGA members, urging stakeholders to remain committed to the party’s candidates and work together to secure victory at the State House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senate levels.
‎
‎The National Chairman of APGA, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, who spoke at the event, also emphasised the need for cohesion and unity among party members to ensure the success of all APGA candidates. He commended Chief Onuzuruike for convening the gathering, describing it as a unique initiative.
‎
‎Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Ben Nwankwo, called for unity of purpose, effective grassroots mobilisation and collective commitment towards securing victory for APGA and its candidates in the forthcoming elections.
‎
‎The APGA Senatorial Candidate for Anambra South, Chief Emmanuel Nwachukwu; candidate for Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Dr. Odira Nwankwo; and candidate for Orumba South State Constituency, Hon. Stan Nnaka, expressed appreciation to the Oru of Orumba for the warm reception and his continued support for the growth and success of APGA in Orumba.
‎
‎They maintained that unity among party stakeholders would be crucial to achieving electoral success in the 2027 elections. The event also witnessed the defection of new members into APGA, a development that further underscored the party’s expanding support base and political strength across Orumba South.
