‎The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, on Sept. 14, embarked on unscheduled visits to selected Police Divisions across the State as part of measures to enhance operational preparedness and strengthen grassroots policing.
‎
‎The visits were aimed at assessing the readiness of police personnel, inspecting facilities and operational resources, and evaluating the security response capacity of officers and men within their respective Areas of Responsibility.
‎
‎During the exercise, CP Oji Ama inspected the general condition of the stations, including their facilities, arms, operational equipment and the level of preparedness of personnel to respond to security challenges.
‎

‎The commissioner directed Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to maintain a high level of vigilance and ensure that their personnel remain proactive and responsive to emerging threats, stressing the need for officers to be strategically positioned to respond promptly to incidents within their jurisdictions.
‎
‎He also instructed the DPOs to pay greater attention to the maintenance and facelift of their stations, noting that police facilities should be kept clean, functional and orderly to provide a conducive environment for effective service delivery.
‎
‎According to him, the condition of police stations can influence public confidence and shape the quality of interaction between law enforcement personnel and the communities they serve.
‎
‎CP Oji Ama further tasked officers and men of the Command to uphold discipline, professionalism and courtesy in their dealings with members of the public, while respecting the fundamental rights of citizens and remaining firm in the lawful discharge of their duties.
‎
‎The commissioner reiterated the command’s commitment to proactive, intelligence-driven and community-oriented policing, assuring Ndi Anambra that efforts would be sustained towards improving police visibility, preventing crime and protecting lives and property across the State.
‎
