The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, popularly known as Onyendozi, has congratulated the people of Obosi on the successful celebration of Obiora Obosi (Iwa Ji Obodi), while commending the exemplary leadership of the traditional ruler, His Royal Highness, Igwe Chidubem Iweka, Eze Iweka III, Igwe Ogalagidi.
Nwankwo made the remarks on October 24 during a visit to Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area, where he attended the cultural festival alongside members of his campaign council. He described Obosi as a community blessed with a rich cultural heritage, distinctive traditions and a strong spirit of communal harmony, noting that its cultural identity continues to attract admiration from people across different backgrounds.

The APGA candidate praised the community for sustaining its cultural heritage through the annual Obiora Obosi festival, describing the celebration as an important platform for promoting unity, preserving ancestral traditions and strengthening relationships among residents.
He also commended Igwe Iweka, who serves as Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council, for his outstanding leadership qualities. Nwankwo described the monarch as a visionary and experienced traditional ruler whose wisdom and leadership acumen were comparable to those of the biblical King Solomon.
According to him, the monarch’s leadership has continued to enhance Obosi’s standing and reinforce the relevance of traditional institutions in the governance and development of Anambra State.
Addressing the people, Nwankwo pledged to ensure that Obosi receives adequate attention and effective representation if elected to the 11th National Assembly. He said his legislative agenda would focus on inclusive representation, equitable development and policies aimed at improving the welfare of constituents across Anambra Central Senatorial District.
He further described Obosi as a strategic community whose contributions to the political, cultural and economic development of Anambra State remain significant, assuring residents that their interests and aspirations would be reflected in his legislative priorities.
Expressing confidence in the future of the state under APGA, the senatorial candidate said the party’s candidates would pursue policies and programmes geared towards improving the living standards of the people. “With APGA candidates in Anambra State, our people will be happier and healthier,” he declared.
Nwankwo congratulated Igwe Ogalagidi and the entire Obosi community on the successful celebration of Obiora Obosi, wishing them sustained peace, unity, prosperity and development.
His participation in the cultural festival highlighted the importance of preserving Igbo cultural heritage while strengthening relationships among political leaders, traditional institutions and communities across Anambra Central Senatorial District.
