The reconstruction of major access roads in Onitsha Main Market is progressing steadily as part of the comprehensive modernization and regeneration initiative of the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

The road reconstruction forms a key part of the state government’s broader efforts to restore order, improve infrastructure, and reposition Onitsha Main Market as a leading commercial hub in West Africa.
The modernization initiative also includes the phased remodelling of market structures and redevelopment of access corridors, with the involvement of market stakeholders to minimize disruptions to commercial activities.
Work is ongoing across designated routes, reflecting the administration’s commitment to building a modern, orderly, livable, and prosperous trading environment for Ndi Anambra and beyond.
