A broad coalition of political and community leaders in Ogbaru Local Government Area has unanimously endorsed Senator Stella Adaeze Oduah as their preferred candidate for the Anambra North Senatorial District ahead of the forthcoming All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) primaries.
The decision was reached during a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held at Arafat Hotel, Ogbaru, which brought together President Generals, councillors, women and youth leaders, party faithfuls, and other key figures across the local government area.
Prominent attendees included the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Somtochukwu Nkemakonam Udeze; Member representing Ogbaru Constituency I, Hon. Noble Igwe; the Mayor of Ogbaru LGA, Hon. Kenneth Akwaoba; and Deputy Mayor, Hon. Charles Umunna.
Convened to foster unity and establish a common political direction for Ogbaru ahead of the upcoming elections, the meeting was described by participants as one marked by rare consensus and shared purpose. Speakers stressed the need for solidarity, collective progress, and strategic alignment among stakeholders in the district.
In a joint resolution, the stakeholders cited Senator Oduah’s experience, legislative track record, and contributions to development across Anambra North as the primary reasons for their endorsement. They described the move as a demonstration of confidence in her leadership capacity and her ability to deliver tangible results for the constituency.
The gathering concluded with an appeal to residents of Ogbaru and the wider Anambra North district to unite behind the candidate, noting that the decision was based on competence and proven performance rather than political sentiment.
Political observers say the unified stance reflects a significant alignment within Ogbaru’s political structure and could influence the dynamics of the senatorial contest in the region.
