A coalition of former councilors from across Anambra North Senatorial Zone has unanimously endorsed Senator Stella Adaeze Oduah for a return to the Senate, a move observers say could significantly strengthen her political standing ahead of the next electoral cycle.
The endorsement was reached on Wednesday during a gathering at the Oyi Local Government Council Hall in Nteje, where more than 140 former grassroots political leaders convened to assess the current state of representation in the zone.

Speakers at the forum commended Oduah’s previous tenure in the National Assembly, pointing to what they described as impactful leadership, infrastructural development, and sustained empowerment initiatives across communities in Anambra North.
Participants noted that her time in office demonstrated a commitment to people-oriented governance and strategic development projects that directly benefited constituents at the grassroots level.

The forum described its decision as a reflection of renewed confidence in Oduah’s leadership, experience, and proven track record. Members also pledged to launch coordinated ward-to-ward mobilization efforts across the senatorial district to build support for her anticipated candidacy.
Political observers say the endorsement highlights a growing consolidation of grassroots backing for the former senator and positions her as a formidable contender as political activities begin to intensify in the region.
Supporters at the meeting maintained that Anambra North had once again rallied behind “experience, competence, and tested excellence,” setting the stage for what is expected to be a competitive race in the coming political season.
