Renowned philanthropist and community leader, Dr. Chris Nwokedi, on June 14, hosted an appreciation gathering for members of his kitchen cabinet and supporters at St. Charles Lwanga Parish, Okpoko, in Ogbaru Local Government Area, attracting more than 300 participants.
The event, which was marked by celebration and fellowship, brought together family members, friends, associates, and well-wishers who were entertained. As a gesture of appreciation for their loyalty and continued support, Dr. Nwokedi distributed cash gifts of N20,000 to each of the participants.
Addressing the gathering, the philanthropist, popularly known by his traditional title “Akaekpuchionwa,” expressed gratitude to his supporters and urged them to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and committed to the progress of their communities.
He reaffirmed his dedication to humanitarian service and community development, noting that he would continue to support the less privileged whenever possible. “Everything will be alright. Let everyone remain law-abiding.”
Dr. Nwokedi, who has been active in public service and humanitarian work for over two decades, was commended by guests for his contributions to grassroots development and his commitment to the welfare of residents in Ogbaru and surrounding areas.
The programme featured goodwill messages from family members, friends, and associates, as well as distribution of cash gifts to all attendees.
