The Mayor of Nnewi North Local Government Area(LGA), Hon. Echezona Anazodo, has congratulated the Obi of Uruagu Nnewi, His Highness, Obi Afamefuna Charles (Obi Ogidi IV), on his birthday anniversary, celebrating his contributions to traditional leadership, peace and community development.
The felicitation took place on Nov. 3, with the mayor describing the monarch as a respected custodian of culture and a father figure whose leadership has continued to promote unity and peaceful coexistence in Uruagu Nnewi and the wider Nnewi community.
Hon. Anazodo acknowledged the traditional ruler’s support for his administration, describing him as a symbol of traditional leadership and cultural preservation.
He noted that the traditional institution remains an important partner in grassroots development, particularly in promoting peace, preserving cultural heritage and strengthening community relationships.
The mayor wished Obi Afamefuna Charles good health, long life and continued accomplishments on the throne of his ancestors.
He joined Ndi Uruagu, Ndi Nnewi and well wishers across Anambra State in celebrating the monarch, praying for many more years of impactful leadership and service to his people.
