National Secondary School, Awka, on Sept. 14, has resumed for the 2026/2027 academic session, with the school administration expressing readiness to build on its academic performance.
During a press visit to the school in Awka, it was observed that academic activities had resumed following the long vacation.
New students were busy undergoing registration, with teachers and non teaching staff guiding them through the process.
The school also held a resumption meeting involving the Principal, teachers and members of the school management as part of preparations for the new academic session.
Speaking to the press after the meeting, the Principal, Dr. Ngozi Anagor, said the school was prepared to improve on its past academic records.
Anagor expressed delight over the turnout of teachers, noting that they recorded 100 per cent attendance on resumption.
She urged the teachers to rededicate themselves to their duties and remain committed to the academic development of the students.
The Principal also encouraged the students to take their studies seriously and remain focused throughout the academic session to achieve good results in their examinations.
