The Divine Mercy Catholic Chaplaincy, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Awka, on September 13, celebrated its maiden Annual Childrens harvest and thanksgiving.
Delivering the homily, Rev. Father Anthony Ezeteka urged Christians to forgive others, accommodate people, overlook certain wrongs, and avoid allowing hot temperament to destroy relationships.
He advised the faithful not to create enemies around themselves, stressing that Christians should live for Christ whether alive or dead and forgive others as many times as possible.
Rev. Father Anthony Ezeteka prayed that God would grant everyone accommodating spirit to accept others despite their shortcomings, noting that forgiveness would make the world a better place.
Speaking on behalf of the children, Miss Ngozi Charity Okoye thanked God and appreciated parents for their care, gifts, and provisions, asking parents to forgive their misbehaviours.

She promised that the children would strive to become better behaved and worthy of emulation while appealing to parents to continue supporting their upbringing.
The head coordinator of the children, Mrs. Rita Orakwe thanked God for the successful harvest, which she said comes annually, and prayed for God’s continued guidance and protection.

She also sought God’s grace in training the children, expressing hope that they would grow into well-behaved children with good upbringing and strong Christian values.
Recognition of the former Prince, Princess, and Lolo of the Chaplaincy added colour to the celebration.
