A frontline aspirant for the Anambra West State House of Assembly, Felix Ikechi, has extended warm felicitations to Catholic mothers across the constituency and beyond in commemoration of this year’s Mothering Sunday celebration.
In a goodwill message released on Sunday, Hon. Ikechi described motherhood as a “sacred calling” characterized by sacrifice, resilience, strength, and unconditional love. He praised mothers for their indispensable role in shaping families and building a morally grounded society.
According to him, mothers remain “the backbone of our families, the first teachers of our values, and the silent architects of a better society,” emphasizing that their nurturing influence continues to shape the future of communities.
The aspirant paid tribute to all categories of mothers, including those who work tirelessly to provide for their families, those who offer constant prayers for their children, and those who inspire others through courage and wisdom. He noted that their contributions make them “true pillars” of society.
Hon. Ikechi also used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to advancing policies and initiatives that support women, strengthen family structures, and create opportunities for mothers to thrive within Anambra West.
He concluded his message with prayers for divine blessings upon all mothers, wishing them peace, joy, and abundance in their homes.
Mothering Sunday is a significant celebration in the Catholic calendar, dedicated to honoring the contributions and sacrifices of mothers in both the family and society.
