The Executive Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Hon.Echezona Anazodo, has called on youths to explore enormous opportunities that abound in Agriculture instead of searching for unavailable White collar jobs.
The mayor said that it is irritating to hear that young school leavers do not have jobs because the government has not offered them paid employment.
Hon. Anazodo made the observation on May 6, during the distribution of several Agro input for this year’s season farming.
The agro inputs distributed include inorganic fertilisers (NPk), bundle of cassava stem, certified rice and maize seedlings, others.
He further said that empowering the youths to engage in Agriculture has been his dream to mechanise agriculture and encourage the production of target crops for backward integration.
The youth leader of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Mr Mike Onuokwu pointed out that the unfolding events in the country necessitated the increase in the production of horticulture crops and promised they will put in their best in agriculture.
