Presidents General of the 52 communities in Anambra North Senatorial Zone, under the platform of the Anambra State Town Union Council (ASTUC), have endorsed former Minister of Aviation and two-time Senator, Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah, for the Anambra North Senate seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made during a meeting between the community leaders and the former senator held on Tuesday at True C Hotel, Nteje, in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Speaking during the meeting, the Zonal Leader of ASTUC and President General of Amiyi Community, Comrade Chike Ugboma, commended Oduah for what he described as her remarkable achievements while representing Anambra North in the Senate. He urged fellow Presidents General to support her return to the National Assembly.

Other community leaders who spoke on behalf of their respective local government areas, including Chief Sam Obiakor (Oyi), Chief Chike Nwabia (Anambra East), Barr. Ernest Ojorchegbe (Anambra West), and Chief Chike Ekweogwu (Onitsha North and South), praised Oduah’s performance during her tenure as senator.

They described her as a leader with a proven record of delivering democratic dividends and called on members of their communities to mobilise support for her aspiration.

While moving the motion for her endorsement, the President General of Omasi Town Union, Chief Fred Okafor, said Oduah’s leadership experience and track record distinguish her as the right candidate for the zone.

According to him, her tenure as Minister of Aviation witnessed significant developments, including the upgrade of Akanu Ibiam International Airport and the approval of cargo operations in Imo State, among other achievements.

“With Senator Oduah in the Red Chamber, Ndigbo will continue to have a strong voice and effective representation,” he stated.

The motion was seconded by Mr. Hillary Adimali, President General of Obeagwa Development Union, who thanked Oduah for maintaining close ties with community leaders across the senatorial zone.

Following a voice vote conducted by the ASTUC Zonal Leader, the endorsement was unanimously adopted by the Presidents General present at the meeting.

In her response, Oduah expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and confidence reposed in her by the community leaders, assuring them of her continued commitment to the development of Anambra North.

The meeting was attended by several political stakeholders and community leaders, including former ASTUC Zonal Leader and Coordinator of Senator Oduah’s PGs and Former PGs Forum in Anambra North, Sir Emma Obi; Director-General of the Senator Oduah Campaign Organisation, Rt. Hon. Dr. Victor Okoye; Chief Chinedu Ekwugha, President General of Umunya; and Chief Osoluchukwu Nweke, President General of Nteje, among others.
