The Mayor of Onitsha North Local Government Area and APGA flagbearer Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, has extended warm Father’s Day greetings to fathers in Onitsha North, Anambra State, Nigeria, and across the world.
In a goodwill message issued on June 21, to mark the occasion, Nwora described fathers as pillars of strength, guidance, and stability whose sacrifices continue to shape families and contribute significantly to societal development.
He noted that Father’s Day offers an opportunity to recognise and appreciate the dedication, commitment, and unwavering support fathers provide to their children and loved ones despite the challenges of everyday life.
According to him, fathers play a vital role in nurturing responsible families, instilling positive values, and providing the leadership necessary for the growth of strong communities and a better nation.
“Today, we celebrate the love, guidance, and countless sacrifices of fathers. We thank them for their steadfast commitment to their families and for the positive impact they continue to make in society,” Nwora stated.
The mayor prayed for God’s continued blessings upon all fathers, wishing them good health, peace, happiness, and many more years of fruitful living as they continue to fulfil their responsibilities to their families and society.
He further encouraged fathers to remain exemplary role models, stressing that strong families are the foundation of a peaceful, stable, and prosperous society.
Nwora concluded by wishing all fathers a joyful and memorable Father’s Day celebration filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with their families.
