Understanding that effective governance thrives on a vibrant and functional legislature, the Mayor of Nnewi North, Hon. Echezona Anazodo, has given priority to strengthening the business of lawmaking in the Local Government.
In demonstration of this commitment, the Mayor has completely renovated and fully equipped the Nnewi North Legislative Chamber, transforming it into a modern edifice befitting of the Japan of Africa.
The newly refurbished chamber now provides a conducive, dignified and modern environment for Councillors to effectively carry out their legislative duties.
As a result of this intervention, the Council has witnessed the birth of numerous progressive bye-laws and motions that have continued to foster development, order and growth across all wards in Nnewi North.
The Anazodo administration believes that a strong House makes a strong Local Government, and remains committed to deepening collaboration between the executive and the legislature for the good of Ndi Nnewi.
