Pupils from Pre-Nursery to Primary Two of All Saints Nursery and Primary School, Afor Nkpor, have received 144 water bottles donated by Ladies of Like Minds (LOLM), a humanitarian organisation.
The donation was made during an outreach held at the school on Sept. 24, which also featured lessons on personal hygiene, clean drinking water, balanced diet and healthy living.

President of LOLM, Lady Chioma Agidi, said the organisation was established by a group of like-minded women committed to supporting the sick, less privileged, children and elderly people in society.
Agidi explained that the school outreach was aimed at promoting good hygiene practices and educating the pupils on the importance of adequate water intake while supporting their needs as growing children.
The Administrator of LOLM, Mrs Juliet Echetelu, said many children do not consume enough water, stressing the importance of developing healthy drinking habits from an early age.

Echetelu also educated the pupils on the importance of drinking clean water and keeping their water bottles clean. She noted that inadequate water intake could contribute to health problems such as constipation.
The pupils actively participated in discussions on balanced diets and healthy living, responding enthusiastically to questions during the interactive session.
The Headmistress of the school, Mrs Udechukwu Chimaobimu, expressed appreciation to LOLM for choosing the school for the outreach, describing the gesture as thoughtful and timely.
LOLM, which has operated for four years, is self-sponsored by its members and plans to embark on another humanitarian outreach before the end of the year.
