The Member, Anambra State House of Assembly, Aguata 1 Constituency, Mr Anayo Okpaleke has poured encomiums on Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, describing his performance in governance as superlative, unprecedented.
He said this at an interface with information officers, at Akpo, in Aguata LGA, on November 12.
The Law Maker said, “Soludo is a governor without comparison. It is not possible to compare Soludo’s performance in governance with any other in the history of Anambra State. He has done perfectly well in every sector of governance.
“Soludo is the only governor that recruited over 8000 qualified teachers at inception of office. This tells vividly that he understands the problem of education in Anambra State before coming into office.
“This teacher deficit in our schools had been with us for years before emergence of Soludo with governors coming and going. Imaging how ruin our education system was. Over 8000 teachers were employed yet, there are still pockets of teachers shortages.
“He has promised going to employ more, to close the gap completely. The selection is not about where one comes from but qualification. This is unbeatable dear.
“He did not stop at employing teachers but upgrading schools to suit computer age of our time. Teachers are being equipped with modern electronic gadgets for digitalization of optimal performance.
“Public schools under Governor Soludo are appreciative to affluents today rather than what they were before the emergence of Soludo, where they were only for abject poor children.
“The free antenatal, delivery and postnatal is pointing at giving Anambra State population explosion problems, hence people are trooping in from far and wide.
“Although, there is nothing to worry about, Soludo is a Professor of Economics with International Repute. Little wonder, he started from distributing high yielding palm seedlings and coconuts to taking Anambra State away from consumption to production State.”
According to him, the road infrastructure is developing to better, thereby making motorists spend less at spare parts market and mechanic workshops.
“We shall be going to the polling boot come November 8 to appreciate Soludo’s performance in office. A vote for All Progressive Grand Alliance(APGA) is a vote for continuity.
“It is suicidal to contemplate changing a winning team. Soludo is indeed at the winning side.”
He, however, saluted the efforts of Anambra State Guber contenders at least to making it a contest.
“My advice to them is that they do not put much resources as they see communities raise millions of naira in solidarity to Soludo. They must not put this money and vote out Soludo to loosing it. The handwriting is clearly on the wall.”
