A Professor of Banking and Finance and former Dean Faculty of Management Sciences Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka Campus, Prof. Steve Ibenta is to present his Valedictory Lecture to mark his retirement from the University.
A Public Service announcement endorsed by Prof. Ibenta in Awka, unleashed the title of his lecture as “The Lost Paradise: The Power Of Money, Finance and Banking, and Politics of Investment, Wealth Creation And Sustainable Society”.
The occasion will also feature the unveiling of a Festschrift -collection of works in Finance by his colleagues associates and in his honour.
The title of the Festschrift according to him is “Financial Management And The Development Of The Nigerian Economy”.
According to the press release, the date for the presentation is October 29, beginning at 12 noon at the ASUU Secretariat Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Campus.
The release adds that the ex- augural lecturer has served the University around the country for about 30 years and wishes to share the fruits of a life time experience in research, teaching and service with the wider community.
Top government officials, political leaders, renowned academics, professionals, church leaders, traditional leaders, and other important personalities from across the state and beyond are expected to grace the occasion.
