The National Health Fellows from the Federal Ministry of Health has on May 13, paid a felicitation visit to the Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ASPHCDA), to congratulate its new Executive Secretary, Dr Obianuju Chinelo Okoye on her new Office.
The Fellows Team Lead, Mr Love Joshua explained that the visit was necessitated to hearty congratulate Dr Okoye who was previously their Boss, Mentor, and Coordinator on her appointment by Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo on April 23, 2026 as the Head of Anambra Primary Healthcare Agency.
“We are very happy that she has been elevated to this great position as the ES ASPHCDA. This is more work, and it is inline with her previous assignments. So, we are here to congratulate and appreciate her for what she has done.
“We hope for more actual engagement that will forward cause of the National Health Fellows, the healthcare system in Anambra and Nigeria at large, and healthcare delivery which is what we are also doing and involved in,” he said.
Mr Joshua, then, reiterating the Health Fellows support to the Office of the Executive Secretary, noted that their team were available and open to collaboration in any capacity that they were needed in within the ASPHCDA.
The ASPHCDA Boss excitingly receiving the team that she mentored, expressed gratitude to them for the visit. She gave them a brief insight of her journey/activities so far in Office, while urging them on continuous hardwork as they had been doing.
She thanked the Governor for the confidence placed on her to lead the Primary Healthcare Agency, while promising to do her best in ensuring quality of care delivery at the grassroots and all corners of Anambra.
“I, also, hope on the Health Fellows collaboration too, as together we continue to work towards strengthening the healthcare system,” Dr Okoye added.
The event featured presentation of a commemorative plaque gift to honor the Executive Secretary on her new Office.
The visiting team had in attendance; Health Fellows to include – Kachi Bernard Nwadili, Faith O. Chukuka, Faustina Ndidiamaka Egbe, Patrick Arinze Ndubueze, Ukamaka D. Udoye, and Nnenna Ekwe.
