Residents and commuters in Fegge, Onitsha South Local Government Area, have commended Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, for his administration’s focus on infrastructural development, particularly the ongoing rehabilitation of roads.
The commendation follows the rehabilitation of the Bida-Creek Road bypass in Fegge, an initiative facilitated by the Chairman of Onitsha South LGA, Hon. Emeka Orji.
In an interview, Mr. Ofobike Nnam, tricycle operator, expressed appreciation to the state government for addressing the challenges faced by residents and road users. He noted that the project would improve transportation and boost commercial activities in the area.
Mrs. Ijeoma Ogwo, a provision trader also lauded the governor for prioritizing road infrastructure, describing the project as a tangible demonstration of democratic dividends.
Also, Mr. Fabian Ezeh, a tricycle rider, praised both Governor Soludo and the Onitsha South Mayor for the intervention. He said the rehabilitation would bring relief to commuters and residents who had endured the poor condition of the road for years.
Mr. Onyekwere Linus, a resident in the area, acknowledged the governor’s developmental strides across the state and urged him to maintain the momentum in infrastructural renewal.
