The Anambra State Ministry of Information has directed selected Information Officers to participate in a mandatory in-house capacity-building training aimed at modernizing the state’s communication framework and enhancing professional competencies.
According to a circular released via an official media platform, the one-day programme is being organized by the Office of the Permanent Secretary in Awka. It is designed to improve operational efficiency and build proficiency in real-time news reporting, field information gathering, script writing and editing, voice-over and presentation, graphic content coordination, and digital communication workflows.
Officials noted that the initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to restructure the state’s information dissemination system toward a more efficient and specialized model.
The training is scheduled to take place at the Situation Room, Ministry of Information, Awka, on Wednesday, 11th May 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Attendance is compulsory for all listed officers, who are expected to arrive punctually, participate actively, and prepare for practical exercises. Failure to attend without prior approval will be regarded as non-compliance and may affect future assignments.
The Ministry has urged all selected participants to treat the directive with the utmost seriousness and professional commitment.
