EWULUM ADACHUKWU WINS NOCEN 2026 SUG PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN), has elected Ewulum Adachukwu as the President-elect of its Students’ Union Government following the successful conduct of the 2026 SUG Presidential Election.

Ewulum Adachukwu emerged victorious on the July 7, after polling 490 votes, representing 55 percent of the total ballots cast, defeating two other contestants in a keenly contested and peaceful election.

His closest challenger, Okeke Bonaventure Ebubechukwu, secured 290 votes, representing 33 percent, while Ezenne Benedict Chukwubuike garnered 104 votes, accounting for 12 percent of the votes cast.

The election was widely praised for its peaceful atmosphere, transparency, credibility, and orderly conduct, reflecting the students’ commitment to democratic principles and responsible leadership within the institution.

The Electoral Committee, ICT team, security personnel, election observers, and other officials received commendation for their dedication in ensuring a free, fair, transparent, and credible electoral process.

Students were equally applauded for their peaceful participation, maturity, and respect for the election outcome, demonstrating confidence in the democratic process and strengthening students’ union governance.

As congratulatory messages continue to pour in, the President-elect has been wished a successful tenure marked by purposeful leadership, students’ welfare, unity, academic excellence, and sustainable development across the institution.
