The wife of the Archbishop province of the Niger and the Lord Bishop Diocese of Awka, Dr Mrs Martha Chioma Ibezim, has said that every woman has tremendous influence in her home.
Martha said this on June 14, 2026 during the 4th year Anniversary of young wives Fellowship Celebration in Awka Diocese.
Speaking, on the Theme of the Service: “The wise woman builds her home” which was gotten from the book of Proverbs 14 vs 1 emphasized that God has entrusted woman with the unique responsibility to build her home with wisdom, love, patience, godly character, prayer, understanding and being faithful to God’s word.
Mrs. Ibezim added that attitudes, decisions and actions has the Capacity to either strengthen or weaken the family, for a wise woman ought to be intentional in building a godly home where peace reigns.
According to Martha, she outlined the qualities of a wise woman, one who fears God, which the Bible noted as the foundation of wisdom., (for the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom) which will come when one seeks God’s face and guidance, then better decisions will be made, emphasized on the importance of prayer through which battles will be conquered instead of engaging in arguments, complaints and human efforts.which doesn’t add any value to their lives.
She advised women to speak with Grace for words have power which can heal or hurt, encourage or discourage, build or destroy as it is demanded of a wise woman to speak words of peace and avoid words that bring division, faction or bitterness.
“Wise woman nurtures her Children, has the responsibility to teach them godly values which are discipline, honestly, respect, she said.
“The Children raised with biblical principles will be a blessing to your family,Church and Society.she added .
Mrs. Ibezim frowned at some women’s laissez-fare attitude towards their homes, enjoined them to maintain healthy communication with their husband, show love and respect to their husband and be good managers in their various homes.
