“Rev. Fr. Damian Ifeanyichukwu Umenwa, Parish Vicar of St. Hilary Parish, Owelleaja, Obosi, has encouraged the faithful to remain resolute amidst Nigeria’s current challenges, drawing inspiration from Jesus Christ’s resurrection.
In his Easter Sunday sermon, Rev. Fr. Umenwa reflected on Mary Magdalene’s discovery of the empty tomb, likening it to the confusion and uncertainty facing the world today.
“But thank God for the power of resurrection, which brings victory to mankind,” he said, urging the faithful to hold on to hope.
One parishioner, Mrs. Nkazi Onyinyechi, expressed joy and gratitude for the Easter celebration, reflecting on the mercy and forgiveness of sin brought by Jesus’ death and resurrection.
