The Catholic Women Organization (CWO) Inland Zone Convention 2026 was successfully held on Saturday, June 20, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Omagba, in an atmosphere of faith, unity, joy, and thanksgiving.
The convention began with a Thanksgiving Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obielosi, Parish Priest of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Onitsha, Omagba.
In his homily, Fr. Obielosi urged the women to remain steadfast in their faith, continue serving God and humanity, and uphold the values and objectives of the Catholic Women Organization.

The event was graced by the Archdiocesan Mother, Dame Dr. Nwanosike (Ochinanwata), who attended with her entourage, including the Archdiocesan Secretary, Lady Chika Obika, alongside other distinguished guests, Rev. Sisters, and CWO members.
The convention was coordinated by the Zonal Organizer, Lady Anthonia Okemili, whose commitment and leadership contributed significantly to the success of the programme.
A major highlight of the event was the colourful Parish March Past, during which participating parishes showcased their unity, discipline, and dedication to the ideals of the organization.

The Parish Dance Competition also added excitement to the convention, providing an avenue for participants to display their talents, creativity, and cultural heritage.
Another memorable moment was the presentation of the CWO Zonal Encouragement Awards to women who distinguished themselves through dedicated service and commitment to the growth of the organization.
The convention concluded with entertainment, praise sessions, singing, dancing, and fellowship among members, reaffirming the commitment of Catholic women to the service of God and the advancement of the Church. To God be the glory. Amen.
