The Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), led by Executive Secretary Dr. Augustine Ezeka, on July 1, sensitized traders at Abada International Market, Ogbaru, on affordable healthcare through health insurance.

The sensitization followed ASHIA’s recent engagement with market leaders at the Anambra State Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA) headquarters, reinforcing commitments to expand health insurance coverage and increase traders’ enrolment across Anambra State.

Dr. Augustine Ezeka explained ASHIA’s benefits, emphasizing affordable, quality healthcare for residents. He announced plans to establish ASHIA offices and deploy desk officers within the market, bringing enrolment services closer.

The Chairman of Abada International Market, Chief Basil Uzoh, praised ASHIA’s commitment to universal healthcare and encouraged traders to enrol promptly, assuring them the scheme would improve healthcare access and financial protection.
