The Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), Dr. Ezeka Augustine Uwaeme, has congratulated the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on his recent recognition as a Nurses-Friendly Governor.
Dr. Ezeka described the award as a well-deserved honour and a clear reflection of Governor Soludo’s strong commitment to improving the healthcare system in Anambra State, noting that the governor’s investments in health infrastructure, recruitment of healthcare workers, and policies that support nurses and other frontline health professionals have significantly strengthened service delivery across the state.
According to the ASHIA Executive Secretary, the recognition highlights the administration’s deliberate efforts to make quality and affordable healthcare accessible to Ndị Anambra, especially through people-focused initiatives and continuous support for the health workforce.
“Governor Soludo’s commitment to building a functional and inclusive health system is evident in the consistent support given to healthcare workers, especially nurses who play a vital role in primary healthcare delivery. This award is a clear validation of those efforts,” Dr. Ezeka said.
He further noted that the governor’s strides in strengthening primary healthcare and prioritising the welfare of health workers have not only improved service delivery but also boosted confidence in the state’s health system among residents.
Dr. Ezeka reaffirmed that ASHIA remains aligned with the governor’s vision and will continue to expand health insurance coverage, deepen the Adoption Model, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure that more residents benefit from improved, affordable, and accessible healthcare services.
He added that the Agency is committed to supporting policies and programmes that promote universal health coverage and enhance the overall well-being of Ndị Anambra.
Dr. Ezeka wished Governor Soludo continued success, wisdom, and strength in his efforts to build a healthier, more resilient, and inclusive Anambra State.
