The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has announced April 30, 2026, as the final deadline for membership revalidation and new member registration, as part of preparations for the 2027 general election cycle.
In a public notice issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, APGA urged all current members, intending members, and political aspirants to comply with the directive within the stipulated timeframe.
The party explained that the exercise is in line with Section 77(5) of the Electoral Act 2026 (as amended), which mandates all registered political parties to submit a comprehensive digital membership register to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the statement, only individuals whose names appear in the party’s verified digital register will be eligible to participate in APGA’s primary election processes, either as aspirants or as voters and delegates.
The notice further emphasized that failure to revalidate existing membership or complete fresh registration before the April 30 deadline would automatically disqualify affected individuals from participating in any party primary elections.
APGA, therefore, called on all stakeholders to take advantage of the remaining window to regularize their membership status through the party’s official registration portal.
The party also made it clear that no extension would be granted beyond the stated deadline, stressing that the directive is for strict compliance.
