The Mayor of Onitsha North Local Government Area, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, has described the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the driving force behind the sustained development, stability, and economic growth recorded in Anambra State over the years.
In an interview on June 17, on the impact of APGA-led governance, Hon. Nwora stated that the party has consistently proven that effective leadership is defined by measurable achievements rather than campaign promises.
According to him, visible transformation across key sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic development demonstrates APGA’s commitment to the welfare of Ndi Anambra.
“True development is not about promises made during campaigns. It is about delivering results that citizens can see and feel in their daily lives. Across Anambra State, road networks have been upgraded, schools have received significant attention, healthcare services have been strengthened, and opportunities have been created for our people. These are the metrics that matter,” he said.
Hon. Nwora noted that APGA’s political strength lies in its understanding of the needs and aspirations of Anambra residents. In his words, “APGA has remained a people-oriented party. The focus has consistently been on improving the lives of ordinary citizens, supporting small and medium businesses, empowering youths, and creating an enabling environment for everyone to thrive.”
Responding to questions on the party’s sustained popularity, the Mayor attributed it to public confidence in APGA’s consistency and vision. “The people have witnessed continuity in development and a clear vision for the future. That is why APGA continues to serve as a symbol of hope for many families across Anambra State,” he explained.
The Mayor further emphasized that beyond physical infrastructure, APGA is laying the foundation for sustainable growth anchored on innovation and opportunities for future generations.
Hon. Nwora expressed optimism that under APGA’s continued leadership, Anambra State would achieve even greater progress in the years ahead. He called on residents to support government policies and programmes, stressing that collective effort is essential to advancing the state’s development agenda.
“Our mission remains clear: to protect the interests of Ndi Anambra, sustain existing gains, and ensure that development reaches every community. APGA represents progress, stability, and genuine hope for our people,” he added.
