Nze Linus Okpalaugo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has urged government to partner with traditional, religious, and community institutions to ensure smoother implementation of public policies. He made the appeal while speaking with journalists at Akpo, Aguata LGA, on May 20.
Nze Okpalaugo commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo as a well‑prepared leader with practical ideas to improve Anambra State. He pointed to the 2019 Anambra State funeral and burial laws as people‑oriented legislation that has struggled in implementation, suggesting that limited stakeholder involvement may be a factor.
In his words, “If permitted, I will suggest that church heads, traditional rulers, Ndi Nze na Ozo, president generals and government come together to agree on how the funeral/burial laws should be implemented.”
He described the initiative to expose fake pastors as laudable but said its success depends on broader collaboration. Nze
Okpalaugo also called on Christians to study the Bible regularly to better understand God and avoid deception, adding that those who allow themselves to be misled share responsibility for their deceit.
Praising the governor’s efforts, he said, “Governor Soludo is indeed doing the best anyone could do to fix Anambra State. Let us walk with him in the interest of Anambra State.” Congratulating the newly appointed commissioners and members of the governor’s advisory teams, describing their selections as “square pegs in square holes.”
