The Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Hon. Romanus Ibekwe, on June 20, officially flagged off the construction of a major road project in Adazi-Enu. The project, being executed through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement, is sponsored and funded by Chief Ebenezer Eziuzo Umezulike.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, Hon. Ibekwe commended Chief Umezulike for responding to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s “Aku Luo Uno” initiative by investing in the development of his community. He noted that the road would significantly improve accessibility, ease transportation challenges, and stimulate economic activities in the area.
The mayor emphasized that the road is strategically important because it links Adazi-Enu with neighbouring communities. According to him, its completion will reduce the hardship caused by poor road conditions and enhance movement for residents and road users.
In his remarks, Chief Umezulike said the project was inspired by his desire to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of his community. He also praised Governor Soludo for his commitment to infrastructure development across Anambra State, noting that the administration’s projects have continued to improve the lives of residents.
Chief Umezulike further congratulated Hon. Ibekwe on his recent recognition as the Best Performing Mayor in Anambra State, describing him as a focused and development-driven leader.
According to him, the mayor’s administration has delivered visible development projects across the ten communities that make up Anaocha Local Government Area.
The road project, when completed, is expected to enhance connectivity and promote socio-economic development in Adazi-Enu and the wider Anaocha Local Government Area.
