Operatives from the Anambra State Commissioner of Police (CP) Special Patrol recovered a pump-action rifle, a locally made single-barreled rifle, a grey Toyota Highlander (registration: UWN 680 PE), and N636,700, suspected stolen cash during an offensive security operation in Abagana around 5 p.m. on December 16, 2025. Other incriminating items were also seized.
The Anambra Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga said this in a statement to journalists in Awka, noting that the recoveries followed the suspects’ abandonment of their operational vehicle after it crashed during a hot pursuit by the operatives.

Police are actively tracking the fleeing suspects, with intensified intelligence-led operations underway to ensure their arrest. Further updates will be provided as developments unfold.
The Command reaffirms its dedication to proactive policing, upholding law and order, as well as protecting lives and property across the state.
