The Anambra State Police Command has commended the increasing interest among youths in the state in pursuing careers in the Nigeria Police Force, describing the decoration of an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) from Nnewi North Local Government Area as a landmark achievement capable of inspiring a new generation of police officers.
In a statement issued to journalists in Awka on July 25, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the decoration of ACP Nnamdi Anabuike, at the Nigeria Police Force Zone 13 Headquarters on July 24, by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, AIG Godwin Iguh Eze, represents a significant milestone not only for Nnewi North Local Government Area but for Anambra State as a whole.
The command noted that ACP Anabuike’s elevation underscores the vast opportunities available within the Nigeria Police Force for officers who distinguish themselves through dedication, discipline, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to duty.
According to the statement, the achievement is expected to encourage more young people across Nnewi North and the wider Anambra State to consider careers in the Nigeria Police Force, recognising policing as a noble profession devoted to safeguarding lives and property, upholding justice, and contributing meaningfully to national development.
The command congratulated ACP Nnamdi Anabuike on his well-deserved recognition and wished him continued success in the discharge of his responsibilities. It further urged youths across the state to remain focused, uphold integrity, and take advantage of the career opportunities available within the Nigeria Police Force in pursuit of meaningful public service.
