Anambra State Government through the State Programme Manager (PM) of Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) has started the distribution of working tools to Local Government GEEP Desk officers for the ongoing FarmerMoni enumeration in the state.
The distribution which started on October 22, took place in the three senatorial zones of the state. This is to bring the working tools closer to desk officers who are already in the field for easy access and also to reduce the cost of transportation.
Delivering the working tools, The State PM, Ugonwa Onunze said that the tools especially the power banks are specifically meant to be used in the field to power their iPads when the battery runs down.
“These power banks are not for your personal phones or gadgets, it is specifically meant to power your iPads when it’s down in the field” she said.
She also emphasized on the need for them to make sure they also capture the beneficiaries manually using the register to avoid loss of data in case of any technical glitch on the iPads or uploads.
The Idemili South Desk officer, Nelson Eriobi, thanked the Federal and State Governments for the tools as it will really help to make their work easier, faster and seamless.
“Before now, you will be in the field enumerating a beneficiary and your iPad will just go off because of the battery and this will make you come back again to start afresh.
With this power bank and register now, there won’t be a need for a second visit and you will be able to enumerate more people because the power bank will charge the iPad if it runs down while working. The register will also make you have a hard copy of your work” he said.
