Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has felicitated with Muslims in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid el Kabir, urging them to use the period to pray for lasting peace and accelerated national development.
In a statement released on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, through his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, the governor noted that the Sallah celebration serves as a reminder of the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, and dedication to God and the common good of humanity.
Governor Soludo encouraged the Muslim Ummah to use the festive season to pray for unity and stability in the country. He also urged them to embrace the spirit of sharing, charity, and religious tolerance among Nigerians of different faiths and ethnic backgrounds.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to security, the governor assured residents that his government would continue to protect lives and property and maintain an environment where all citizens can celebrate freely and safely.
He extended warm wishes to Muslim faithful, saying “Barka da Sallah,” and expressed hope that the blessings of the season would bring peace, prosperity, and joy to their homes.
