The Vice President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Zone C, South-East, Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku, JP, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across Nigeria, with particular recognition for those in the South-East, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In an official statement, Comrade Adiuku described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred period that epitomizes sacrifice, obedience, peace, love, and submission to the will of Almighty Allah. He urged Muslims to uphold the values of tolerance, compassion, unity, and peaceful coexistence, stressing that strengthened interfaith harmony and collective commitment are vital to national progress.
He commended South-East Muslims for their peaceful conduct, economic contributions, and cordial relations with adherents of other faiths in the region. “The Eid celebration should remind all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or religion, of the imperative to embrace peace, mutual respect, and national unity. Our diversity ought to remain a source of strength, not division,” he stated.
Comrade Adiuku further called on leaders at all levels to leverage the occasion to advance justice, fairness, and policies that enhance the welfare of citizens. He concluded by offering prayers for the continued blessings of Allah upon the Muslim Ummah and wishing all faithful a joyous, peaceful, and spiritually fulfilling Eid celebration.
