‎The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Anambra State, Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, has paid a familiarization visit to the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 13, AIG Godwin Iguh Ezeh. The visit took place on Monday, May 26, 2026, at the Zonal Headquarters, Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area.
‎
‎Speaking during the visit, Barr. Nweke said the purpose was to welcome the AIG to Anambra State, described as the “Light of the Nation,” and to establish a working relationship between the Ministry of Justice and the police command.
‎

‎He explained that the engagement was aimed at fostering collaboration and synergy to improve justice delivery in the state. “Both institutions need each other to function effectively in the line of duty,” he said, adding that a strong working relationship would advance reforms in the state’s justice system. Barr. Nweke thanked AIG Ezeh and emphasized the need for both offices to work together as partners and colleagues.
‎
‎In his response, AIG Ezeh noted that since its inception, Zone 13 had not received any support from the state government, despite being a federal establishment. He appealed to the Attorney General, as the state’s Chief Law Officer, to table the request before the governor.
‎
‎He commended the AG and his team for the visit and pledged the command’s readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Justice in the interest of justice and public safety.
