Schools across the Alor Archdeaconry gathered on October 16, to celebrate unity, academic excellence, sporting achievements and cultural diversity at their annual School Day celebration.
The event featured various activities aimed at promoting healthy competition, teamwork and the all-round development of students.
The programme began with a church service officiated by the Archdeacon, Ven. Dr. Marcel Emeh, alongside other priests in the archdeaconry. This was followed by a colourful march past, during which participating schools displayed their identities and unity.

Activities continued with track and field events, academic debates and cultural dance performances, allowing students to showcase their talents in sports, academics and the arts.
The annual event provided an opportunity for schools within the archdeaconry to strengthen relationships, foster fellowship and encourage students to strive for excellence beyond the classroom.

The organisers congratulated all participating schools, students and stakeholders for their contributions to the success of this year’s celebration.
It concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, where outstanding students and participating schools received recognition for their performances in the various competitions.
