The Mayor of Onitsha North Local Government Area and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) House of Representatives aspirant for the Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Nweze Tony Nwora, has underscored the imperative of inclusive leadership anchored on unity and people-centred governance.
During an interview in Onitsha, Hon. Nwora asserted that true leadership is measured by the real change it brings to the lives of the people, not by pledges or political grandstanding. “Leadership is about the people, the lives you touch, the hope you restore, and the bridges you build. It is not about differences in tribe or background. It is about bringing everyone together for a common purpose.”
He noted that diversity within the constituency should be seen as a strength rather than a challenge, stressing that governance must reflect fairness, inclusiveness, and equal opportunity.
“In my view, diversity is a blessing. We must see ourselves as one community. When we unite, we can achieve more for our people”.
The aspirant further explained that his approach to leadership is rooted in empathy and service, highlighting the importance of listening to constituents and responding to their needs. In his words, “Governance is not about power; it is about service. It is about listening, understanding, and working to improve the lives of the people,” he stated.
As political activities intensify ahead of party primaries, the mayor called on residents to support a vision focused on collective progress and sustainable development.
