The Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN), Anambra State Chapter, held its Eminent Persons Series at the Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna Legacy Building, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, with the theme: Communication for Inclusive Development: Connecting Communities and Policy for Sustainable Change.
The event, chaired by Dr. Amaechi Nwachukwu, Head of Consultants, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka, brought together communication scholars, professionals, policymakers, and other dignitaries to discuss the role of communication in driving sustainable development.
The Lead Speaker and Press Secretary to the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Christian Aburime, delivered a presentation titled: “Behind the Headline: The Realities of Managing Government Communications in the Digital Age.”

Also speaking at the event was the Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Youth Reformation, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, who shared insights on “Youth Advocacy to Public Policy: Experiences and Lessons in Building a Productive Generation.”
Prof Chinyere Stella Okunna, the first female Professor of Mass Communication in Nigeria and Sub-saharan Africa, and a member of Board of Trustees (BoT) of ACSPN, graced the occasion and added to the significance of the gathering.

The Chairman of ACSPN Anambra State Chapter, Dr. Gideon Nwafor, alongside members of the association and other distinguished guests, were present at the impactful event focused on strengthening communication for inclusive growth and societal transformation.
