Construction works has advanced on the dualization/construction of Ekwulobia-Nnobi road project.
The 15.6km project was awarded in September, 2025 by Gov. Charles Chukwuma Soludo and construction works commenced immediately.
When the press visited the site, men of Geld Construction Ltd were seen laying asphalt on one section of the road with various construction activities going on simultaneously.
The Project Manager of Geld Construction Ltd, Engr. Slavish Ivaloic said that the dualization of the Ekwulobia-Nnobi road is on course. He said that the company is paying strict attention to details in other to meet project specifications and ensuring durability in line with Governor Charles Solido’s zero-tolerance to substandard job policy.
Engr. Ivaloic said that they have achieved 80pct completion of the drainage works, about 50pct earthworks, and that they have laid stone base and asphalt some sections of the road.
The Public Relations Officer of the company, Mr. Emmanuel Onah said that the project will be finished in record time and with specifications as the company has the track record of delivering quality roads, he said that the roads they have done in the Anambra State is still standing strong. He thanked the communities within the road corridor for their massive support, noting that there is no challenges so far.
