The Acting Mayor of Anambra West Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Edith Nkeiru Ndive, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt appreciation to workers across the local government area in commemoration of this year’s Workers’ Day celebration.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, May 1 to the media, the Acting Mayor lauded the dedication, discipline, and resilience of workers across various sectors, describing them as the backbone of governance and community development.
She noted that the contributions of workers remain central to the growth, stability, and progress of Anambra West, emphasizing that their daily sacrifices in public service and private endeavours continue to sustain the development of the area.
According to her, “We recognize the sacrifices you make daily in the service of our people and our communities. Your labour is not in vain, and it remains the strength upon which progress is built,” she added.
While urging workers to remain committed and productive, she encouraged them to sustain their belief in a better future, assuring them that the local government leadership remains committed to improving their welfare and working conditions.
She further reiterated the administration’s resolve to foster an enabling environment where the efforts of workers are adequately recognized, valued, and rewarded.
