The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra State Chapter, Anambra State Ministry of Information and the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) have paid their last respects to one of their own, the late Mrs. Ngozi Iwunze, who was laid to rest on Saturday at Okija, Ihiala Local Government Area.

Mrs. Iwunze, a veteran journalist, passed away in November last year at the age of 53, leaving behind a grieving family, friends, and colleagues.

At the burial Mass, clergy men described her as a humble, industrious, and devoted Christian who lived a life of simplicity and kindness.

NUJ Chairman, Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD, eulogized her as an irreparable loss to the journalism fraternity, urging Nigerians to emulate her dedication to her work and her commitment to her faith.

Representatives from NAWOJ, Ministry of Information, Anambra State, and the Catholic Women Organization (CWO) also paid tribute to her memory, praising her for being a team player and a devoted member of her church.

The burial was attended by colleagues, friends, and well-wishers from various walks of life, all coming together to bid farewell to a remarkable woman.
